Vegetable Planting.
We're approaching the time of year for planting out now the danger of frost is receding. make sure your soil is well dug over and you have removed as much weed as possible. Rake to remove any stones and to create a good planting bed. It's a good idea to water the area well before planting as this reduces shock to the new plants. Our seedlings come with full planting instructions so planting your garden couldn't be easier.
Pest Control.
The gardeners worst enemy the slug will start to make its presence felt in the next few weeks. Your precious baby plants can be wiped out in a matter of hours so be vigilant this time of year. A trip out at night with a torch will give you an idea of your slug population. If you leave an old slate or piece of wood near you vegetable patch the slug will congregate under it, they can then be disposed of easily.
