First Early Potato 'Arran Pilot'. 

Order now for delivery from mid January 2020 to mid April or until stocks last.

A traditional favourite potato for many years which produces white fleshed waxy new potatoes with a delicate flavour. Tastes best brought straight from the ground to the pot, works just as well hot or cold and is particularly good in potato salad.

  • Maturity - First Early
  • Shape - Oval, long
  • Skin - Cream   
  • Flesh - White
  • Texture - Waxy, with delicate flavour
  • Preparation - Boiling, steaming

We also hold back some Arran Pilot seed for Summer planting by keeping them refrigerated to prevent sprouting. This seed can be planted in mid Summer for harvest from October onwards. If you have a well drained garden or polytunnel potatoes can be left in the ground for a Christmas harvest.

Pack Sizes
We sell seed potatoes in 4 pack sizes, from 1kg tuber packs to 25kg sacks. There are approx. 10-15 tubers per kg.

These turned out great, minimal fuss, just some light weeding and after ten weeks I had a big batch of gorgeous tasty potatoes. I picked up these again and I was very happy with the delivery times. All products were packed well and there was no fuss.

Hi Emma We will have some early potato stock coming in to us around late June for winter planting but i am afraid we don't take in Arran Pilot again until January Niall Quickcrop

Hi Aidan They should just about be poking their heads above ground now so you should see a lot of growth over the coming weeks. Normally you should be good to start digging Arran Pilot from mid to late June Regards Niall Quickcrop

Delivery Times

We will be operating our business as usual over the coming months as thankfully, current lockdown measures haven't required us to close our warehouses. Delivery times have been impacted over the year with the increase in online shopping putting immense strain on all couriers. Thankfully we are almost back to normal. 

Please allow 2-3 working days for delivery.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience which may have been caused due to Covid-19 and very much appreciate your patience during this time. 

Standard Quickcrop deliveries only €3.95.

Standard delivery €3.95 - Our standard delivery rate is €3.95 and covers all goods except raised beds and some selected heavy items. €3.95 is the total delivery price irrespective of the number of items ordered.

Allotment raised beds €5.95 - Allotment style raised beds carry a delivery of €5.95 per complete order. €5.95 is the total delivery price irrespective of the number of allotment raised beds or additional items ordered.

Premier/Deluxe raised beds €9.95 - Premier or Deluxe raised beds carry a delivery of €9.95 per complete order. €9.95 is the total delivery price irrespective of the number of raised beds or additional items ordered.

Bulky Items €9.95 - Some large items (e.g. compost bins) carry a delivery charge of €9.95. Any items that carry the large item surcharge will be clearly marked on the product page.

Will there be any extra charges? There are no customs fees. Occasionally an additional delivery charge may be incurred when preorder items are ordered along with items for immediate delivery. Preorder items include  bulbs, seed potatoes, garlic, onions, bare root stock etc. 

European deliveries outside Ireland
We also deliver to the UK and other European countries, please see our delivery rates below. Our flat delivery rate is an absolute bargain and is far cheaper than any of our competitors, please take this into account when comparing product prices.

Where do we deliver to?
We deliver nationwide to the island of Ireland, the U.K., Austria, Benelux Countries, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland. Please see our delivery rates below:

€12.95 - The United Kingdom (Highlands and Islands may incur a surcharge, please contact us at support@quickcrop.com for details)

€14.95 - Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark, France, Germany, Switzerland.

How long does it take?
Stock permitting we aim to dispatch your goods within 2 working days of receiving your order. The average time taken from order to delivery is 2-3 days for Irish orders, 3-5 days for UK orders, and 8-10 working days for other European destinations.

What If I'm not in at time of delivery?
The driver will leave a note with the depot contact number. Delivery can be arranged for the next day or a later date.

I'm ordering several items, do they all arrive at the same time?
All items dispatched at the same time will normally be delivered in one delivery. The exceptions are bulk bags of soil or compost which comes in a separate delivery using a different delivery company. Seedlings will be dispatched directly from our tunnels.

What if my parcel is damaged or I wish to return the goods I have ordered?
Contact our office at support@quickcrop.com and we will arrange collection and refund or replacement of faulty or damaged goods.

If you wish to return goods for any reason other than damaged or faulty items please return the item to us at the following address and we will issue a refund minus the delivery charge. Goods must be undamaged and in their original packaging. Please take care when parceling returned goods to ensure it reaches us in good condition.
