Second Early Seed Potatoes

CROP FAILURE SO CATRIONA WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR THE 2020 SEASON

Catriona seed potatoes are a second early variety of potato. They have a distinctive kidney shape with purple splashes around the eyes. Catriona are a vigorous growing variety that produce strong yields. The strong flavoured yellow flesh makes them great for cooking with.

Pack Sizes
We sell seed potatoes in 4 pack sizes, from 1kg tuber packs to 25kg sacks. There are approx. 10-15 tubers per kg.

I would like to get some Catriona seed potatoes for 2021 . Do you have any available for sale please?

Hi David I am afraid we don't have any coming in in 2021 as the crop failed. You might get some elsewhere but it is probably unlikely as when crops failed any stock the growers have is kept for replanting for the following year. Sorry i can't be of more help Niall Quickcrop

I've grown catriona potatoes for the first time this year,they have cropped well but when they are cooked they just disintegrate. Is this usual for the variety please?

They are actually a really tasty potato however they don't seem to boil very well. The best way to cook them is to steam them.

Standard Quickcrop deliveries only €3.95.

Standard delivery €3.95 - Our standard delivery rate is €3.95 and covers all goods except raised beds and some selected heavy items. €3.95 is the total delivery price irrespective of the number of items ordered.

Allotment raised beds €5.95 - Allotment style raised beds carry a delivery of €5.95 per complete order. €5.95 is the total delivery price irrespective of the number of allotment raised beds or additional items ordered.

Premier/Deluxe raised beds €9.95 - Premier or Deluxe raised beds carry a delivery of €9.95 per complete order. €9.95 is the total delivery price irrespective of the number of raised beds or additional items ordered.

Bulky Items €9.95 - Some large items (e.g. compost bins) carry a delivery charge of €9.95. Any items that carry the large item surcharge will be clearly marked on the product page.

Will there be any extra charges? There are no customs fees. Occasionally an additional delivery charge may be incurred when preorder items are ordered along with items for immediate delivery. Preorder items include  bulbs, seed potatoes, garlic, onions, bare root stock etc. 

European deliveries outside Ireland
We also deliver to the UK and other European countries, please see our delivery rates below. Our flat delivery rate is an absolute bargain and is far cheaper than any of our competitors, please take this into account when comparing product prices.

Where do we deliver to?
We deliver nationwide to the island of Ireland, the U.K., Austria, Benelux Countries, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland. Please see our delivery rates below:

€12.95 - The United Kingdom (Highlands and Islands may incur a surcharge, please contact us at support@quickcrop.com for details)

€14.95 - Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark, France, Germany, Switzerland.

How long does it take?
Stock permitting we aim to dispatch your goods within 2 working days of receiving your order. The average time taken from order to delivery is 2-3 days for Irish orders, 3-5 days for UK orders, and 8-10 working days for other European destinations.

What If I'm not in at time of delivery?
The driver will leave a note with the depot contact number. Delivery can be arranged for the next day or a later date.

I'm ordering several items, do they all arrive at the same time?
All items dispatched at the same time will normally be delivered in one delivery. The exceptions are bulk bags of soil or compost which comes in a separate delivery using a different delivery company. Seedlings will be dispatched directly from our tunnels.

What if my parcel is damaged or I wish to return the goods I have ordered?
Contact our office at support@quickcrop.com and we will arrange collection and refund or replacement of faulty or damaged goods.

If you wish to return goods for any reason other than damaged or faulty items please return the item to us at the following address and we will issue a refund minus the delivery charge. Goods must be undamaged and in their original packaging. Please take care when parceling returned goods to ensure it reaches us in good condition.
