Easy To Make Raised Vegetable Garden Bed

The square easy assemble raised bed kit is a high quality kit made from thicker 1.5 inch boards for a longer life. No tools or fixings are required for assembly, it can be easily put together by hand, the tongue and groove system locks tight and the special 'Lock Cut' at the corners make it quite difficult to disassemble. This 6ft x4ft  raised bed is a great starter raised bed and makes the perfect addition to any vegetable garden, back yard, allotment, polytunnel or greenhouse.

These raised beds retain their rustic looking natural timber finish even after they have been pressure treated. We treat all our raised bed timber to last longer, and the treatment process we use is certified by the soil association as perfectly safe for use with organic food crops. The treatment doesn't horribly discolour or leave a nasty smell or feel on the wood. These kits will nicely fit in with any garden design type.

We have our timber pressure treated after it is cut to our requirements at the local sawmill. This means that after the boards have been cut to size and shaped with the tongue and groove system, we treat them so that none of the timber remains untreated. Alot of other raised bed manufacturers treat their wood and then cut in an effort to save time and costs. This leads to untreated ends on the timber that suck up moisture and become prone to rot and warp. Our easy assemble raised beds will last at least 8 to 10 years of vegetable gardening. Click for more info on raised beds.

Choose Your Size:
Different crops require different depths of soil and extra boards can be added to build your raised garden bed higher if required. We stock these raised beds in 3 different heights: 11in, 16.5in and 22 inches high. Please use the 'Height' selector tab above the 'Add To Cart' button to choose the required one.

We try and keep our delivery charges as low as possible, we only charge €3.95/£3.95 delivery per order. This applies to all our raised bed ranges regardless of the size of the order.

Easy to assemble.

There is quite a bit of weight to it, and when slotted together it stays together. 5/5.

Brilliant. Great not to have to deal with screws. As a woman, I needed to give some parts a knock with a hammer to get them forced in but great, assembled in 10 or 15 mins. Delighted.

I think its all been said in some of the previous comments, but just had to add my 2 cents. The raised bed is simple to assemble and is comprised of good thick boards that stay together. Very cheap delivery rates and it arrived only a couple of days after i placed the order. Highly reccommend the easy assemble raised bed.

The reviews on here swayed me so I bought one of these. 6ft x 4ft x 22inch was the one I went for. Excellent experience with ordering and delivery. Assembly couldn't have been easier and the end result more than met my expectations.TY.

Really easy to assemble. looks nice and this year I had to move one and it was very easy to disassemble and reconstruct in a better location, although I wouldn't recommend this unless really necessary. Very robust construction ideal for the Irish climate.

Is it possible to add one more layer bringing the 6'x4' to 27.5" high. If so, I'd need two kits. What's your view if I suggested a further layer to 33" please? The project is for two strawberry beds but the lady is of a certain age where bending to tend the bed is off her agenda!

on March 05th, 2020
Hi Roger That is no problem. If you want to call us in the office we can take the order over the phone. We can go really as high as you like. Just obviously be aware that it will take a lot more soil to fill the higher the bed but facilitating with a higher bed is no issue Niall Quickcrop

Is it possible to have this delivered to my allotment? I am a widow and live in a flat and this is for my allotment.

Hi Gill Thats shouldn't be a problem. We use DPD couriers for our raised bed deliveries and they will text you on the morning of delivery with a 1 hour delivery window. Once you get this you can make your way to your allotment to take delivery. So it should work perfectly fine. We have a lot of beds delivered to allotments without any issue Niall Quickcrop

I need 14.5 bags of 60L compost to fill my new 6'x4' raised bed. Was going to use 60% topsoil and 40% envirogrind. Will be growing carrots so no manure. Is this a good mix or would you recommend a different combination?
Answered by Niall
on March 11th, 2019
Hi Mary Yes that is just about the perfect mix for growing vegetables. Where you are growing the carrots i would reduce the Envirogrind to about 10% of the mix Regards Niall Quickcrop

Hi Jenny - sizes listed are the finished external dimensions. Thanks, Meg - Quickcrop

Please could you tell me if I can put a raised bed on flagstones. I was wondering about drainage?
Answered by Niall
on October 08th, 2018
Hi Diane You can of course however it would be advisable to use a Mypex liner. This will allow the water pass through without letting any of the soil going with it. Meaning you won't end up with big brown streaks along your nice flagstones. Just put the word liner in the search bar and you find them Regards Niall Quickcrop

Do these raised beds come with a base or need to stand on garden soil or grass?
Answered by Andrew
on May 02nd, 2017
Hi Jo. The beds do not come with a base as a this is not required. Also, it is an advantage to have earthworms and other soil life access the bed from below and to allow plant roots to penetrate the soil under the bed. I hope this helps. Andrew

Hello, do you do 6ftx3ftx11 or 16.5 inches Easy assemble bed?
Answered by Andrew

Hi Julie. I am afraid we no longer do the 6x3 ft in the easy assemble beds but we can do in our other ranges. The Premier would be the most similar with regard to thickness of timber and price:
