Easy To Use Rotating Composter 200L

Qty:
129 (RRP €129.00)

In a nutshell....

Large rotating composter or compost tumbler. The bin lies on castor wheels and can be turned by hand, mixing the compost within.

The best rotating composter on the market.

This fantastic composter is made in Ireland from a thick moulded plastic. The unit comes already assembled with a very clever base plate including a revolutionary caster design. A rotating composter breaks down waste much quicker than a tower composter as the constant mixing of materials speeds up the process. Vegetable gardening is quite tough on the soil and with this you will have a rich compost in less time, enabling you to return some much needed nutrients.

How does the roto composter work?
Very easy, the tumbler sits on the base where the integral caster wheels sit neatly into the grooved track on the drum. The tumbler spins easily on the base allowing you to mix your compost perfectly while the side vent holes let air enter the chamber. All you need to do is collect your schools compostable green and brown waste materials.

The lid fixes tightly to the drum with a tight twist action which seals the composter, speeding up the composting process while making it completely pest and rodent proof.

Really good service and delivery. It remains to be seen how good the composter is, but I can't fault it so far.

Easy and clean to use, residual time for compost is about 6 weeks. A little hard to turn after 4 weeks but all in all I would recommend this product.

Why would you not add citrus peels? Thanks

Hi Oonagh, citrus peels are a lot tougher to break down which is why they are not recommended for this type of composter. Meg @ Quickcrop

Hi, What do you think of using this composter on the balcony ? Thanks

Hi Luminita. This composter will be fine to use on a balcony. Just make sure you have a good mix of materials. It is more likely that you will be short of dry brown material which is the most common cause of problems with any composting system. I would recommend wood pellets for this purpose, just throw in a handful if the compost gets wet and smelly to re balance the compost bin. I hope this helps. Andrew

Hi Luminita. It is totally sealed and doesn't leak and even though it holds 200 litres of compost it is not overly heavy so on a balcony won't be an issue.

can I put all waste food and garden in bin?
Answered by Andrew

Hi Mary. I would not put cooked food in rotating compost bin and no meat or fish. Any fruit and vegetable scraps from the kitchen are fine (except citrus peels) and most garden waste. I hope this helps. Andrew
