Would this be a good companion tree for either your Laxton's Superb or Summer Red?
Answered by Niall

Hi Celeste Ecolette is in Pollinating Group B but Laxtons is in Group C. Not sure about Summer Red. But in short no they won't cross pollinate. This is where a crab apple would come in as it will cover all varieties Niall Quickcrop

Enquiring which varieties compliment the above apple tree for Pollination purposes?
Answered by Niall

Hi Joe Ecolette is actually self pollinating but it is in the mid season flowering group so works very well with Cox's, Discovery, Granny Smith, James Grieve, Elstar etc Niall Quickcrop
Asked By Moira Lonergan
on January 08th, 2019
What are dimensions of the tree? Does it need another apple tree for pollination?
Answered by Niall
on January 09th, 2019
Hi Moira The Ecolette trees are excellent but do need another tree close by for Pollination. They come on a small root stock so they won't grow much larger than about 15ft tall and when supplied they are between 5 and 6ft high Regards Niall Quickcrop
