Just got the large mesh netting to cover mini polytunnel. Very strong product. Can be a little tricky to fix to tunnel structure at both ends. Great protection from insects, birds etc.

I bought Enviromesh earlier this season and what a difference it has made to my carrot and brassica crops. For the first time ever I have no problems with carrot fly. My carrot crop is flawless, easy to prepare and very tasty - no carrot fly damage whatever. The cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower crops were totally free of any cabbage root fly damage, and, of course, no damage from the white butterflies either. It's lovely preparing cabbage without any fear of caterpillars! No waste, no mess, just delightful attractive heads of cabbage. I've had numerous enquiries from other growers on our allotment about Enviromesh and I'm very happy to recommend it to them. Seeing is believing. Without doubt, I'd highly recommend Enviromesh to any grower.

Perfect, I use it to protect my brassicas from flies and butterflies. I made wide tunnels with it for 2 and 3 plants next to each other. I have to keep it above the plants as my allotment is very windy and plants get smashed easily. Good quality with sewn edge and you can push ground hooks through without damaging it if you are careful. It would be great if I could find large hoops (90-120cm wide) for it.

Hi Marie. You will need the 2.6m x 5m mesh to cover a 6x4 tunnel.

To protect crops like kale from butterflies is it better to place this mesh cover on stakes?

Hi Joanna. You can use stakes or hoops to keep the mesh off plants which is the method I prefer but you can also drape it over the crops and weigh down with stones on either side.
