Radar onion sets are a mid to late variety most suitable for Autumn planting and overwintering. Known for their good winter hardiness, they have a good round shape and excellent flavour. Radar onions have a rich golden skin with white flesh and are full of flavour.

is it still possible to plant these overwintering radar onions now in january? as i still have some left that were not planted in autumn due to the torrential rain.

Hi Jaap. You could put in some onions now but there will be a higher chance of them running to seed depending on the spring weather. My advice would be to put in a few as an experiment but don't take too much space in your plot in case they run to seed.
