In a nutshell....

90 Litre planter growbag for growing vegetables. This portable veg planter is reusable and can be situated on patios, balconies, greenhouses, polytunnels and in smaller urban gardens.

This product is currently out of stock

Great value grow bags for use season after season.

Reusable vegetable planter grow bags make a lot more sense than your standard disposable plastic grow bag for a number of reasons. I like how you get more space from the 80 litre compost capacity and have a little more room for the roots of your precious vegetable plants. These reusable grow  bags also sit better and looks neater on the patio and won't tear and leak compost around the planter, you can also move your reusable growbags around without worrying about them splitting. It's a great value solution for a small garden and will produce a surprising amount of tasty homegrown vegetables for your table.

Be kinder to the environment by reducing your end of season plastic waste, simply roll up the bag and store in the garden shed for use again in the spring. The tough, heavy duty polypropylene material will last season after season giving you years of vegetable growing pleasure.

  • Made from a tough heavy duty polypropylene.
  • 1m by 40cm by 20cm high.
  • 80 litre compost capacity.
  • Better for the plants, bigger nutrient and water reservoir.
  • Better for the environment-no end of season plastic waste.
  • Ideal with planter compost.

Got a few of these not expecting much, but they are quite decent growbags. this is my third year using them and they're still going strong. I would definitely recommend them.

Do you need to use a frame or supports to stop bag collapsing while in use?

Hi Maggie B. The bag will support itself and does not need frame supports to hold it's shape.

Hi, I got these from you and am delighted. I noticed that there are no drainage holes on the bottom. (there are few about an inch up on the sides). Should I drill some holes in the bottom? Otherwise there'll be a pool of water in the bottom.

Hi Alison You could do however they will fray after time and the item will fall apart. To be honest as far as i know the side holes keep it aerated and as a result stop the build up of water in the base and we have never had any complaints. So i think they work very well Niall Quickcrop

Hi Niall, how many tomato/courgette plants would be suited to these planters? When do you expect them to be back in stock? Regards, Susan.

How do you get sufficient drainage with these?

Hi Sophie There are good drainage holes all along each side and they even have nice metal fixings in them so the material doesn't fray. So actually very robust for the price to be honest as i just checked one. Niall Quickcrop

Does this bag come with supports for the sides and ends? How does the structure support itself?
Answered by Niall
on November 05th, 2018
Hi John No. However it doesn't need any. Once you open it out it sits in place very nicely and then you just fill it with soil/compost. Once filled the sides sit in place with no issues. Regards Niall Quickcrop

I am very new to gardening and am wondering if I water this grow bag when it is on a concrete surface will the water come out underneath?
Answered by Andrew

Hi Clo. Thank you for your question. There are 4 very small holes in the base of this Growbag that allow the water out but they are so small i can't see that it will be big enough for the water to carry soil with it.
