Yukon are a large second early variety with yellow-white skin and a distinctive lack of eyes on the flesh. It is a waxy yet moist potato with lots of flavour. When cooked it has a creamy buttery flavour and holds its yellow colour which is unusual. As the name suggests this variety was developed in Canada in the mid 60's. This particular variety has almost twice the normal vitamin C of a standard potato.

Available in 5 different pack size options. Just hit the tab on this page beside price and it will give you the options to Choose.

We planted first earliest Duke of York March 17th and Second earlies Yukon Gold early April from quickcrop. My question is both varietie have signs of blight on the leaves. We have dug up two of the first earlies yesterday, low yield but only one tuber affected. I have cut the leaves as suggested to ground level on the first earlies and will harvest each plant as needed over the next month. If I cut the leaves from the second earlies, will it stunt their growth as they have only been growing for 80 days and need about 120? Thanks

Hi Eimear I am afraid garden potato yields this year seem very poor all round. If your 2nd earlies are not showing signs of blight yet i would leave them well alone. Once you cut them the tubers will only continue to grow for another week or so and then they will be done so leave as long as you can Niall Quickcrop
