The Box Moth Trap is designed to lure in male box moths via the use of a pheromone lure. Box moths have become a formidable pest in recent years - the caterpillars are known to completely defoliate box plants. Early detection is vital, as once an infestation has taken root the caterpillars will produce webbing 'tents' to protect themselves. A box moth trap can alert you to moth activity. at which point you will have time to prepare some controls to avoid a caterpillar infestation.
This trap should be used between March/April and October.
