A frost hardy winter savoy cabbage that grows perfectly in our climate. Savoys have rounded, compact heads of dark green ruffled leaves with fine flavour. Vertus is an Ormskirk type with the ability to stand severe frosts. An excellent green vegetable when little else is available. Try lightly braised in butter with a twist of freshly ground pepper!
