The Swift Nest Box No. 17B is a single cavity nesting box for Swifts in need of an enlarged brood chamber. It has a larger depth than the 17A Nest Box. The depth of 20cm provides more room for the adult Swifts to build their nest and for the chicks to exercise pre-fledging. It also provides more space for a small nest box camera. Swifts are social birds, so installing multiple boxes will help form successful colonies.
Crafted from certified, asbestos free, vegetable fibre reinforced concrete and SCHWEGLER wood-concrete, this box is both durable and weather resistant, making it a great choice for outdoor installation on building façades or under roof eaves. It includes all necessary mounting hardware, such as brackets, screws, and plugs, for a straightforward setup.
