Description
This eye catching red/white striped tulip with ruffled feather like petals creates a flamboyant display. Flowers open with the sun and can change it's shape/colour over its life. Some flowers bloom with more red and others with more white. It makes for interesting displays and is beloved by florists. Blooms late April - mid-May.
It is pretty delicate so take care. It does not like heavy rain or strong winds.
If cutting for a floral display do so when the buds are coloured but not fully open.
Planting instructions:
- Plant before frost sets in (Oct-Nov).
- Space 10cm apart and plant at a depth of 15cm.
- For best colouring these need full sun in well drained fertile soil.
- Avoid overwatering and only water if conditions are very dry.
