Concorde Pear Trees
Concorde Pears are a new high yielding variety of pear from East Malling with excellent flavour and texture. Resulting from a cross between Conference and Doyenne du Cornice, Concorde is easy and reliable like Conference while also inheriting the beautiful perfumed flavour of Doyenne du Cornice.
Fruit is large with a pale yellow background when ripe, flesh is sweet and juicy with a good 'non gritty' texture. Fruit is ready for picking in late October and will store until January in the correct conditions. A very highly recommended tree.
Concorde is self fertile so does not need another tree as a pollinator.
Plant in good fertile soil from November until March as bare root transplants or any time of the year for container grown stock.
These trees are supplied as 2 year old trees at about 6/7ft tall. If pruned out in the centre they will grow at about 9/10ft
