Grow Vegetables With Grow Lights

The grow light garden is a miniature garden system for growing herbs and salads all year round and for boosting flowering house plants out of season. The lights are full spectrum grow lights that replicate natural sunlight for year round growing. The grow light garden is available in two sizes, small and large. The small contains one highly efficient Sunblaster 11 Watt high output light, and the large contains 2 Sunblaster 24 watt high output bulbs. Both of these bulbs use 20% less power than regular household bulbs and give 10,000 hours of use.

These mini gardens are so effective because they maximise performance by reflecting 100% of the light towards the plants. Each growlight garden contains 4 reusable growing trays, a raised platform insert and capillary matting that enables the garden to self water for up to 14 days. The canopy height on both the small and large gardens can be extended up to a maximum of 38cm to allow plants all the room they need.

Good assembly instructions very easy to put together. Seeds germinate really fast and I can't believe I'm actually growing lettuce and rocket leaves in November. The capillary matting is a great idea and the unit is quite stylish to look at. A great talking point when visitors come in. A very reasonable price too. Thanks quickcrop

Hi Declan You can of course start off anything in this unit as it is a general propagator as well as a Grow Garden Regards Niall Quickcrop

Well. now I'm confused! What I'm looking for is something to start the seeds off in a darkish unused room in the house for which I would need the lights. As I live in NE Scotland sowing outside is problematical as we quite often have a cold spell late April, early May. Not only that but the house is on top of a hill and blasted by freezing cold winds, cold frames, poly tunnels etc rarely make it through more than two winter gales so my seeds need all the help they can get!

Hi Mike. Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was this unit is a essentially propagator with lights on top. The power supply to the lights and heated base are separate so you can also use it without lights if you wish. The lid has been moulded to fit the lights but they can easily be taken on or off as required. I hope this makes sense!

Mike, my apologies. I was confusing this product with another! Sorry! This unit has a reservoir base but not a heated propagator base. It can be used as a propagator providing the temperature in the room is sufficient for germinating the seeds you are growing.

Presumably this can also be used as a propagator?

Hi Mike. Yes, this unit can also be used as a propagator without the lights.

Is this soil based or hydroponics

Hi Chris. No, this is not a hydroponic system, it is a heated propagator which you place seedling trays of compost inside.
