Polytunnel Garden - Vegetable Plants for SPRING

Qty:
59.5

In a nutshell....

A large amount of vegetable plants for the polytunnel or gardener. Vegetable plug plant / seedlings give a good headstart to the growing season. Order now for delivery late March 2022

Order now for delivery late March 2022 for orders placed in December and January. For orders placed in February and March expect delivery mid to late April. Weather depending

The polytunnel garden, as the name implies, is a collection of our vegetable plants designed for growing in a polytunnel or glasshouse. You vastly increase the range of crops and the length of your season by growing under cover and we've put together a range of plants to get you going.

There's nothing nicer than your own fresh tomatoes mixed with freshly torn basil. I grow these side by side in my tunnel and they rarely make it to the kitchen. If I could work out how to grow mozzerella I'd be elected!
We have also included Marigolds as these keep pests away from your tomatoes as well as brightening up your tunnel. Throw Chillies, red peppers, cucumbers, courgettes and a broad range of salads into the mix and you're in for a tasty year.

Why not add a herb six pack to compliment your vegetable garden? Contains six healthy young Thyme, Oregano, Chives, Sage, Rosemary and parsley. Enjoy the unmistakable flavour of fresh herbs in your home cooking. See 'what else do I need' below.

The Polytunnel Garden Contains the following plants:

7 x Oriental Salad

14 x Beetroot

7 x Calabrese

7 x Sweetcorn

As I was a bit behind time this year planting my seeds, I decided to treat myself and buy the Polytunnel Garden plug plants. They arrived mid April in mint condition and I planted straight away, they came with handly planting instructions. They fitted my polytunnel perfectly. I have a 20f by 10f polytunnel. It is now June 11th and all the plants are doing very well. We are enjoying fresh salad every day and even have enough to give to friends. Mizuna was something I had never grown and we are all enjoying it. Its nice to try something new. What was also great about the selection of plants was I could order what I wanted e.g two vine tomatoe and two cherry tomatoe plants. Over all I am very happy and look forward to ordering plants again

Hi could you please tell me when you think these and the hot plants are likely to be back in stock. Just in process of getting new tunnel so a bit late for starting off own seedlings. Thanks Chris

Hi Chris We just had to take both off until we clear all of the back orders from January until now. We hope to be in a position to put both back on the site towards the end of next week Niall Quickcrop

Hi - I will be receiving these plants next week end of March. Can I plant them straight into the polytunnel or should I keep them in pots in the polytunnel to plant out in a few weeks time? Many thanks

When you receive them they will be hardened off so good to go in to the ground straight away Niall Quickcrop

would you have a layout plan for this

Hi Damien If you go to the learn section on the website we have a lot of different growing plans but not 100% sure whether we have an exact one for this particular veg tray. That said all of the spacing are in the Learn section on the site so it is easy enough to lay out Niall Quickcrop

When do ye recommend planting a polytunnel. I have mine covered in black plastic to warm the soil. Thanks

Hi Tom. It depends if you are talking about planting straight in to the ground or bringing on seedling plants. We normally start to use our tunnels to bring on plants from early February however the earliest we start to plant in to the ground in the tunnel is early March. I hope this is of help
