Description
Red Currant Plants
One of the first currants to ripen, Jonkheer-Van-Tets is an early cropping variety of redcurrant bush with heavy yields that easily outclasses other early varieties. Jonkheer-Van-Tets grows upright and vigorously. The currants are bright red and very juicy, and are highly rated for their flavour. Bushes are upright, hardy and easy to pick.
Bushes are large so will require pruning to keep manageable, especially if grown in pots. As with all early fruit varieties Jonkhleer Van Tets is susceptible to late frosts so site is important, low lying frost pockets should be avoided.
