This is a super light-weight version of the traditional hoe, coming with a compact sharp sided head making it absolutely perfect for weeding around your smaller plants like lettuces and carrots.
Best used in conjunction with a long handled oscillating hoe. Use the long handled hoe for general weeding, the precision hoe for fine work around delicate stems.
The speed hoe comes with a choice of two different sized handles,

Hoeing has to be one of the most important tasks you can do in an organic vegetable garden. The other reason why we like hoeing so much is not only does it control weeds it also breaks up the upper layers of the soil making it much easier for water and oxygen to filter down through the soil. Here’s the exciting bit: Soil is alive with millions of tiny creatures and micro organisms many of which directly benefit your plants. The microbial life in your soil breaks down nutrients and supplies them directly to the roots of your plants. Hoeing is a bit like giving your soil a massage, it invigorates your vegetable plot.
Hoe on a dry sunny day, you can then leave the weeds on the surface of the soil to decompose.
