Description
Uchiki Kuri (also called Red Kuri or onion squash) is a very reliable variety of winter squash. It produces orange to red coloured pear shaped fruits that closely resemble a mini pumpkin without the ridges. It has a hard outer skin and firm yellow flesh with a delicious nutty flavour. Stores very well.

Sowing & Spacing:
Sow from the middle of April until late May. Sow each seed into an individual small pot or large module and plant out after hardening off (approx 6 weeks). Use a cloche or cold frame to begin with.
Space 1.2m (47.24) between plants.
