Description
A pale yellow squash with a mild, sweet flavour. The flesh is unusual in that it takes on the appearance of spaghetti when cooked. Cut in half and roast cut side down, after 40 mins, scrape out the 'spaghetti' with a fork. Can be served as a genuine low calorie alternative to pasta or noodles - just add your favourite sauce!
Growing on trailing vines, the fruits can weigh between 1 and 3kg. The thicker rinds mean that you can store this squash for a couple of months after harvesting. The seeds can also be roasted.
If you're cooking the squash whole, make sure to pierce the skin a few times with a fork to avoid an explosion!
