A windbreak is a type of fencing used to provide shade and shelter for crops or areas of the garden. This windbreak is a roll of garden netting that can be cut to size and used for multiple purposes. It is made from thick green mesh netting and can be stapled or tied to fence posts to make garden fencing or partitions of any size. It can also be used as scaffold or debris netting and is a good general purpose garden net. The green colour allows it to blend in with any garden type.

THe Garden netting I bought is exactly what I was looking for - its attached to my fence to keep small kittens in and weeds out. It also breaks up the gusts of wind that I get in my back garden as there is an open field behind the house and we get very windy weather at times.

A different roll of mesh to that in the picture arrived in the post. It was not suitable for my needs. I was made to feel like it was my fault even though I asked a question about the mesh size and received a false answer. 2 weeks later and I have not been reimbursed and have been asked to pay extra postage prices. Very disappointed. Will not shop here again!

Hi, I'm wondering if this could be used to support climbers? Thanks

Hi Orls I think the mesh would be to tight for the climbers to work their way through. You might be better off with some of the other netting we have on the website. Just put the word Netting in the search bar and a list of options will come up Niall Quickcrop

hello i have a railing and im looking to put something extra up to stop people feeding our dog when at the bus stop - just wondering what this is made of - could he bite through it ?

Hi Paula an unusual request indeed but a good one. The netting is made from high density Polyethylene. If it is put up right and is good and tight i can't see your dog eating through it but i suppose if he/she is determined enough they could do.

Would this netting be suitable for providing shade for my tomato plants in the greenhouse? If so, any suggestions for fixing it in the greenhouse?
Answered by Andrew
on June 15th, 2017
Hi Kay. Yes this netting could be used as a shade in the greenhouse. It is difficult to suggest a fixing method not having seen the structure of your greenhouse but the netting is light so I would run support wires (if you don't have crop bars already) to either side of the structure and lay your mesh along it. I hope this helps. Andrew

I am looking for netting to fence off my raised beds from our cat, would this be suitable to build a barrier attached to the raised bed while still allowing enough light for the plants?
Answered by Andrew
on April 07th, 2015
Hi Aisling. Yes, you could use this as a protective barrier but it will cast some shade on the plants. Have you many raised beds? I wonder if we can come up with a better solution?

Yes Aisling however it might be a pain to access when you need to. The best product for this is our Mini Polytunnel
