Description
An unusual red-purple variety producing high yields of firm, sprouts with an exceptional nutty flavour. Redarling F1 is a medium height variety and may need staking in exposed gardens, very good frost resistance.
The crop produces a good yield of firm sprouts that are best harvested when they are about 1 inch in diameter. The distinctive purple colour is brought about by compounds called anthocyanins, which are said to have numerous protective health effects.
While this a relatively slow grower, you will be rewarded with a long-lasting harvest. It is also a hardy crop that can taste even better after a frost.
