Description
Dahlia ‘Bishop of Dover’is one of our favourite 'bishop' varieties with softly coloured blooms contrasting against deep purple foliage. The flowers feature single, white petals gently kissed by strokes of soft blush pink and lavender arranged around a contrasting yellow centre. 'Bishop of Dover' is a popular choice for cut flowers where it brings it's simple elegamnce indoors; don't be afraid of cutting either as this will stimulate new blooms from this super plant.
The simple, single open nature of its blooms also make this variety an excellent late source of nectar for bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects right up to the end of its long flowering season in October.
