Description
Rouge Vif d'Etampes is a large, flat and heavily ribbed pumpkin with bright orange skin. It can weigh over 10kg. Resembling the 'typical' Halloween-style pumpkin, these are widely used for carving. Perfect for soups, pies and other dishes, the seeds can also be toasted and eaten. Stores very well.
Sowing & Spacing
Sow from the middle of April until late May. Sow each seed into an individual small pot or large module and plant out after hardening off (approx 6 weeks).
Plant 1 plant every 2 metres, they need a lot of space!
