A very popular low growing, spreading succulent with mini jelly bean shaped leaves with varying green red colour.
Sedum sthalii has small bead like green leaves that turn red-orange when grown in direct sunlight. Sedums spreading habit make it ideal for growing between paving stones, on walls or on green roofs. Its little jelly bean leaves also make it a must have addition to indoor ornamental plantings where it can be easily controlled. If conditions are favourable, star like yellow flowers are produced on 30cm tall stems.
Like most succulents, sedum sthalii is easy to propagate from cuttings. Take cuttings in spring or summer, let the cutting dry out and form a callous on the cut before planting in damp free draining sandy compost in a small pot.
Plants supplied in 5cm pots
