Description
'Morado' is a purple skinned garlic, well suited for growing in the Irish climate. A hardneck variety originating from Spain. It has a strong, spicy flavour which is great in sauces and roasted.
Best planted in late September/early October for harvest the following year. This establishes a good root system before the growing season. You can however plant anytime after that up to early March and still get a good crop. This garlic likes the cold weather in Ireland but needs well drained soil as too much moisture can lead to fungal disease and rot.
This pack of 3 seed garlic bulbs is enough to cover 30 square feet.
