A very easy to grow purple skinned swede with sweet tasting yellow flesh. Gowrie is very Winter hardy and and can be either roasted, steamed, or mashed with butter & pepper or seved in a stew. Swede has a long harvesting period from October through to January. Good resistance to powdery mildew and clubroot.
