Description
Our New Castelton raised bed design makes a very attractive flower or vegetable bed with a generous 7 inch wide lap jointed finishing rail and supporting posts. The bed is available in 54cm and 72cm heights in 1.2m x 1.2m and 1.2m x 1.8m sizes. The kit includes all parts and fixings to assemble this very handsome timber raised bed.
The structure is very strong with a 10cm square post at each corner and a further 10cm post in the centre of the 1.8m side, which both ties the side boards together and supports the finishing rail around the top of the pond.
The wide finishing rail also serves as a seat, it is finished at the corners with a half lapped joint rather than a mitre to give a very firm fixing and to minimise movement in hot weather.
