Wooden Capping For Raised Beds & Ponds
The raised pond top border is a timber frame for capping a raised bed. It can be fixed on to the top of any raised garden bed or pond to create a level surface around the bed measuring 14cm wide (5.5in). This wide border edge can be fixed to any existing garden bed or pond of the same size.
The border is perfect for sitting on or putting pots and containers on, fixing a trellis to, or holding any other raised garden or pond additions.
With the continued exposure to water some timber products may be susceptible to damage. We recommend that the top boards are protected with Restol, a wood oil preservative. Wood oil is a very fine natural oil which is able to penetrate the timber, nourishing and protecting it from the inside out. The fact that is derived from natural oils makes it non-toxic and significantly less harmful to organic and living materials.
The timber used is extra thick 4.5cm (1.75in) timber boards that are cut at 45 degrees to create a perfect right angle when put together.
