Description
This two tone flower with dark maroon and yellow petals creates a striking contrast for your floral displays. As it matures the edges lighten, enhancing the contrast. It received the RHS award of Garden Merit in 2010. The classic goblet shape opens in the sun and closes slightly at night. Can withstand wet and windy weather better than most tulip varieties. Grow in containers for impressive patio displays or grow in borders and flower beds where contrast is needed.
Planting instructions:
- Plant before frost sets in (Oct-Nov).
- Space 10cm apart and plant at a depth of 15cm.
- For best colouring these need full sun in well drained fertile soil.
- Avoid overwatering and only water if conditions are very dry.
