Description
Also known as Whitten Tree, Red Elder, Rose Elder and Snowball Bush the Guelder Rose is native to the UK and Ireland and is frost hardy and an important wildlife plant. The plant will reach 2.5m tall by 3m wide and makes an attractive informal hedge especially when mixed with other species like dog rose or hawthorn. For hedging plant approx 30cm apart.
Viburnum Opulus is a deciduous shrub suitable for hedging. The maple like leaves and flat clusters of pinkie white flowers are followed by bright red glassy berries. Foliage provides nice autumn colour before it falls. Attractive to birds and wild life.
