Description
A striking aquilegia cultivar with deep purple petals fading to white at the edges. The plant itself is relatively short lived but will self seed freely in suitable soil so will spread easily in the garden. Very well suited to wild or cottage style gardens.

Care of Aquilegia Vulgaris
Clumps can be lifted and divided every 3 to 5 years in March before growth resumes. Mulch with well rotted manure and compost in Spring.
Wildlife Benefits
Attractive to bees with nectar and pollen rich flowers. The large quantities of seed produced are also attractive to birds and other wildlife.
