Description
A superb open pollinated heritage variety growing large spears of excellent flavour. Takes 4 years until first harvest but crops every year for 15-20 yrs - a delicacy well worth the wait! Each plant will produce about 10 spears a year over 8 weeks. Connover’s Colossal does best on light soils; if growing on heavy soils, plant in a raised bed. Protect the emerging spears from slugs.
