Duke Of York Potato
A pale yellow waxy boiler at first but matures quickly into a versatile general purpose potato. Famous for their great taste. Smaller potatoes can be used as waxy salad potatoes but as the season progresses and the tubers grow dry matter increases. One of the tastiest spuds.

- Shape - Oval
- Skin - Cream, medium smooth
- Flesh – Light yellow
- Texture - Waxy
- Preparation – Boiling and steaming
We also hold back some Duke of York seed for Summer planting by keeping them refrigerated to prevent sprouting. This seed can be planted in mid Summer for harvest from October onwards. If you have a well drained garden or polytunnel potatoes can be left in the ground for a Christmas harvest.
Sowing: Mid March or mid Summer for Autumn/Winter crops.
