Irish Organic Seaweed Soil Conditioner and Plant Tonic. 2.5 litre.

Qty:
29.95

In a nutshell....

The Irish Organic Seaweed Soil Conditioner and Plant Tonic. 2.5 litre is from seaweed sustainably harvested off the west coast of Ireland from the North Atlantic Ocean.

Seaweed Fertiliser Is Mineral Rich & Conditions Your Soil

Organic seaweed fertiliser from Sea Nymph is ideal as a soil conditioner and plant tonic for organically grown fruit, vegetables and flowers. Provides extensive Trace elements. Conditions soil and stimulates plant growth.

This stuff is the business. Why? It is produced from seaweed sustainably harvested off the west coast of Ireland. Other seaweed feeds available on the market are produced from a powdered raw material. Our "Sea Nymph' liquid is produced from hand harvested Ascophyllum nodosum, a seaweed species exclusive to the North Atlantic Ocean. Harvesting by hand ensures quick plant recovery and causes minimal disruption to the natural habitat. It also produces a far more potent raw material which gives this product its extra punch.

The base extract is mixed with additional NPK and complexed minerals to tailor the range to specific needs throughout the year. Complexing of the minerals helps ensure they work for longer when applied as the complexing acts as a slow releasing agent giving longer performance to the minerals.

In short it's the best liquid seaweed you can get. Apply February to October.

Why use seaweed feed?

Seaweed contains the major plant nutrients but also a whole range of micro nutrients often absent in old and tired soil. Will also promote root growth and stimulate microbial soil life which makes more nutrients available to your plants. Seaweed fertiliser feeds will also strengthen the plants immune system helping to fight off bacterial and fungal attack.

The difference between our seaweed fertiliser feed and many others on the market is most other seaweed tonics use a powdered raw material which is diluted to produce the finished liquid. Our Soil Conditioner and Plant Tonic is made the old fashioned way, it's hand harvested in the unspoilt waters of the West coast of Ireland with the fresh seaweed going directly into the production process.

How is Sea Nymph made?

The sustainably harvested seaweed is first washed to remove any loose sand and shells. The seaweed is then places in stainless steel vats where the extraction process takes place. The idea is to break down the cell walls to release the broad range of nutrients unique to seaweed. Minerals, vitamins, amino acids and saccharides (sugar molecules) are first extracted and then cold filtered to remove any insoluble particles. The filtered end product is then bottled for use in your vegetable garden. In short it's the best liquid seaweed fertiliser soil tonic you can get. Apply February to October.

Contents: 2.5 Litres Concentrated, makes 45 litres or roughly 1/20 when mixing. As a guide a 5litre watering can will cover 2 x raised beds 6ft x 4ft.

This is the best seaweed conditioner I have used. I use it on everything including tomatoes, fruit trees, cucumbers and everything else in my greenhouse, also raspberries and many other fruiting and ornamental plants. Of particular note is a tree the county council planted outside my house (Mountain Ash called Joseph Rock) The county council removed a large Sycamore tree whose roots were lifting up the pavement and cracking garden walls. The county council used a stump grinder and planted the mountain ash on top of the stump then covered the roots with some rock hard lumps of clay. The poor mountain ash had hardly any roots (Bare Rooted planting) I was present and witnessed the whole thing. It was also planted in March 2018 before one of the hottest and driest summers on record. This tree was doomed without my assistance. I watered the poor mountain ash several times a week and fed seaweed feed and also the tomato feed version of the seaweed feed available from Quickcrop as well. I als

Absolutely great aid for my plants. I use it every 2 weeks during the growing season, to keep them growing healthily. It is also easy to apply since it can go into any plant type.

My soil and my vegetables both adore this Seaweed tonic. I have been using the 500ml size all summer and I still have some left so great value for money and wonderful for growning vegetables and fruit. I live in an urban area and have no choice but to grown a lot of my vegetables in containers but a weekly feed of this liquid seaweed tonic has really been a boost to the yield I am getting - my french beans in particular seem to produce a lot more and I used it instead of standard tomato food on my tomatoes this year and am still harvesting ripe tomatoes here in mid October in Ireland. I will order the larger size bottle when I eventually run out (It lasts forever). Thanks Quickcrop.

Can you let me know what is the best plant feed for hedges, preferably liquid form - beech and whitethorn. They are beteween 1-3 years old.

Hi Elizabeth This product will be good for hedging however the likes of Hedging is better with a slow release feed like our Seafeed rather than a liquid feed. A liquid feed will give the plants a quick boost but for hedging they need constant feed Niall Quickcrop

Hi Katherine Yes this is a very good feed for Garlic but later in the season as the bulbs start to expand in late April early May. Just mix with water 1/10 in your watering can and water on the plants Niall Quickcrop

Hello, I am just inquiring would this tonic be se suitable for use on young native irish trees such as ash and hawthorn and cherry / apple blossoms? If not, can you please recommend a suitable product and what time of year it should be used? With Kind Regards, Paul

Hi Paul It would be fine however you would have to be constantly feeding the trees through the season with it. You would be best to use Seafeed which you spread on the soil 1ft to 3ft from the trunk of the tree. This will slow release in to the soil over the season and do a lot more for the trees Niall Quickcrop

Hello, Is this suitable for lawns? I'm looking for an organic seaweed supplement for my lawn care regime. Is this more suitable than the organic seafeed?
Answered by Niall

Yes Dominic. For a lawn this is a much better feed and much easier to apply as it is in liquid form. This is what all of the golf courses have started to use instead of chemical feeds Niall Quickcrop

How much and how often would you use this on vegetables, mainly chillies? What is the npk?
Answered by Niall
on February 12th, 2018
Hi Eric. This product is more of a plant tonic for building up the micronutrients in the soil and the plants so as such it doesn't have any Nitrogen in it to feed the plants. It will give you very healthy plants but doesn't help them grow. If you want to feed your chillies or tomatoes you should use the red label Product we have which as added NPK in it and is an excellent feed.

Hi. What is the coverage rate for the 2.5ltr if used on a lawn - i.e what square area will the 450 litres of made solution give. Thanks
Answered by Andrew

Hi Miriam. I would suggest applying 10 litres per 8 square meters therefore the 2.5L bottle will cover 360 square meters. I hope this helps. Andrew

Hello, I was hoping to buy some of this feed but was wondering if you could give me some more details about the NPK content; it's hard to track down the information on the web. many thanks
Answered by Andrew

Hi Dan. Liquid seaweed is more of a plant tonic rather than a liquid fertilizer so N.P.K. isn't really applicable (it would be pretty low), this is why it is difficult to find info on it. The benefit of the seaweed is more in trace elements, amino acids and growth hormones. If you are growing tomatoes, for example we have a version with added NPK which is higher in potassium so it depends what you are using it for. I hope this helps! Andrew
