Irish Seaweed Tomato and Fruit Feed. 2.5 Litre

29.5 (RRP €34.95)

In a nutshell....

Large bottle of Irish seaweed tomato and fruit feed. This is proper seaweed (not the powdered stuff) and provides extensive Trace elements, conditions soil, and stimulates plant growth

Organic Seaweed Liquid Extract plus nutrients (N6 - P2.2 - K6.6 + 0.5 Fe)

Provides extensive Trace elements. Conditions soil and stimulates plant growth

This stuff is the business. Why? It is produced from seaweed sustainably harvested off the west coast of Ireland. Other seaweed feeds available on the market are produced from a powdered raw material. Our "Sea Nymph' liquid is produced from hand harvested Ascophyllum nodosum, a seaweed species exclusive to the North Atlantic Ocean. Harvesting by hand ensures quick plant recovery and causes minimal disruption to the natural habitat. It also produces a far more potent raw material which gives this product its extra punch.

The base extract is mixed with additional NPK and complexed minerals to tailor the range to specific needs throughout the year. Complexing of the minerals helps ensure they work for longer when applied as the complexing acts as a slow releasing agent giving longer performance to the minerals.

In short it's the best liquid seaweed you can get. Apply April to September.

Concentrated. Makes 450 Litres.

Contents: 2.5 Litres Concentrated, makes 450 litres.

NPK: 6 : 2.2 : 6.6

It arrived very soon after I ordered it, which was good. However, as I hae yet to use it I can't really rate it or judge its worth.

Use it once a week and the tomatoes have filled the greenhouse. Significantly more peppers and tomatoes this year than last season. It only last's a month and half but worth the money. Running out of space.

Hi, can use this on courgettes as well? Also what would be best for different types of beans? Thanks!

Hi Martina Yes this will work very well for Courgettes. Feed every 3 to 4 weeks once the fruit has formed. Seafeed is the best for beans as it is slow release Niall Quickcrop

Hi Paula. Yes, this can be used as a general plant feed, it will be good for potatoes and OK for beans but you might be better with something a little higher in nitrogen (e.g. Seaweed).

This is a great feed. Instructions say 50ml per 9L of water but it does not say how often to feed. I am feeding about once per week but this may be overdoing it a bit?? 1.Tomatoes and 2.Fruit trees and Fruit bushes. Many thanks Peter

Hi Peter Come September you might go as heavy as that but for July and August once every two weeks is plenty. Maybe even 3 weeks Niall Quickcrop

Answered by Niall

Hi Jill A good handful when you are first putting your plant in to the Quadgrow and no need for more until you start to see fruit on the plant. Then a good handful every 3/4 weeks Regards Niall Quickcrop

I bought this wonderful product, just wondering if it has calcium in it. Some of my tomatoes have developed black rot, and blossom end rot, How often should i use the feed, as I believe well fertilised plants, have less risk of pest?
Answered by Andrew
on July 10th, 2018
Hi Julie. While blossom end rot is due to calcium deficiency it is usually a result of insufficient watering rather than lack of calcium in the soil. The reason is if the tomato plant doesn't get enough water calcium cannot be transported to the ends of the fruit. I would be inclined to increase watering giving a good soaking in the evening to allow the water to soak into the soil overnight and avoid evaporation. I hope this helps. Andrew

How Organic is this feed? I am looking for an Organic tomato feed. I am trying to be as Organic as possible. Many Thanks Peter

Hi Peter. The seaweed base is organic but tomato feed will have added potassium for fruiting so is not an organic product. We do have a seaweed tonic (the same brand but a yellow label) which is organic but it is not specifically a tomato feed.
