Description
The Oscillating blade cuts weeds on the forward and backward strokes - cut weeds simply slip over the sharp blade. The blade will actually sharpen itself as it moves through the soil. This tool is great for established weeds, and a pleasure to use on regularly hoed ground.
"The best hoes have a thin sharp blade which easily moves through the surface; hoeing should not be hard work, with a well designed tool making it quick and easy. There are many types available including Dutch Hoes, draw hoes, onion hoes and swivel or oscillating hoes.
I use a copper swivel hoe as it cuts cleanly and shallowly when pushing and pulling and makes the job easy and quick. The copper version won’t rust and if its blade wears out you can replace it, while the steel version may be more suitable for stony soils." - Charles Dowding
Copper tools are easily maintained and rust resistant.
