This airlock is a vital piece of equipment for fermentation. It allows CO2 to escape whilst preventing any contaminants from entering the vessel. If too much CO2 builds up in your fermentation vessel you may have a breakage or else all liquid may fizz out when you release the pressure quickly. This airlock ensures the pressure remains constant without spoiling your produce.
