The Bokashi Organko Essential is a practical and sustainable solution for processing kitchen and food waste. The sleek, compact design is perfect for kitchen countertops.
This 15.3L container allows you to ferment food scraps quickly and efficiently, resulting in a nutrient-rich pre-compost material that can be dug into garden soil, added to an outdoor compost pile or used in a 'soil factory'.
Two containers are included in this set; they are stackable, so you can be adding kitchen waste to the upper container while leaving the lower container to ferment.
The Organko Essential also features a reservoir and tap for extracting a Bokashi liquid byproduct that drains to the bottom of the container. This can be used as a natural drain cleaner or (when diluted) as a feed for indoor plants.
- Bokashi is a natural fermentation process which processes kitchen and organic waste without the unpleasant odours of rotting food.
- This is a set of two Organko Essential composters. Having two containers allows you to collect food waste in one while the (sealed) fermentation process is taking place in the other.
- A 1kg bag of Bokashi bran is included with the set. This bran is enriched with useful microorganisms (lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, photosynthetic organisms, actinomycetes and enzymatically active mushrooms) to initiate the fermentation process.
Made from post-consumer recycled plastics (recycled polypropylene), the Organko Essential is an eco-friendly addition to any home.
