Our Perennial Flower Plant Packs are designed to allow the novice gardener to create a professional looking garden in an afternoon. The packs include an easy to follow plan and all the plants required to complete it. The planting scheme has been designed to provide interest throughout the planting season with a carefully selected mix of perennial flowers and grasses.

The Prairie Days Pack
The Prairie Days packs contains a mix of relatively tall perennials towards the back of the plan with Sedum Herbstfreude and Echinops Sphaerocephalus 'Arctic Glow’ providing structure and contrast against the wispy stems and fluffy tops of the grasses Sesleria Autumnalis and Molinia caerulea Moorhexe. White Echinops Sphaerocephalus 'Arctic Glow’ gives deamtic structure and shape with its prickly white pom pom flower heads while Geranium Johnson's Blue’ leads the eye into the bed with its low growing habit and powder blue flowers. This plan is all about movement and structure with loftly flower heads swaying in the breeze accompanioed by the soft rustling of the grasses to complete the prairie effect.
The flowering season begins with Geranium Johnson's Blue’ in May and followed by Echinops Sphaerocephalus 'Arctic Glow’ in June. Sedum Herbstfreude provides a soft pink canopy from late June which is complimented in August and September by the spiky blue flowers of Perovskia Blue Spire. Most of the structure of the bed remains over winter to provide winter habitats and interest so cutting back should be delayed until mid March the following year.
