I have a piece of meadow that is heavily grassed and has a lot of sedge, if I mow and scarify the grass now, will the planting be strong enough to survive, or do I need to kill off the grass now before planting?
Answered by Niall
on September 15th, 2021
Hi Nigel If you do as you are suggesting and in the Spring when the grass starts to come on just cut it back around the new plants they will thrive. You just need to make sure that the early growth does not outcompete the Perennials in early Spring Niall Quickcrop

The planting plan is missing a key for the scale, is it in centimetres? It says 180 x 120, so I assumed centimetres but want to check just in case.
