Early autumn variety with dark green leaves and long, thick, white shank. Bulks up quickly throughout September and can be harvested up to December. Hannibal has a a fresh, mild leek flavour and plenty of heart. Excellent quality and does not bulb.
Sow in March early April. Sow 5 or 6 seeds per cell in 4cm modular trays (Huw Richards receommended), and plant out 8-10 weeks later without splitting up the seedlings.

Between rows: 45cm
Between plants in the row: 30cm (2 plants per station)
Plants are ready to harvest in March to May the following year.
