Early autumn variety with dark green leaves and long, thick, white shank. Bulks up quickly throughout September and can be harvested up to December. Hannibal has a a fresh, mild leek flavour and plenty of heart. Excellent quality and does not bulb.
Sow in March to early April. Sow 5 or 6 seeds per cell in 4cm modular trays (Huw Richards recommended), and plant out 8-10 weeks later without splitting up the seedlings.

Germination temp: 8-25˚C.
Germination time: 7 to 14 days.
Sowing depth: 1-1.5cm
Spacing: 30cm between groups of 4 seedlings.
Aspect: full sun with some shelter.
