    Overwinter Leek

    Have grown this for a few years now and it has great overwintering survivability even survives hard freezes and can be harvested up to late April. Gets largest in the spring so for autumn I usually grow the Bulgarian Giant variety as well as it gets big fast but does not take hard frosts. Highly reccommended variety.

    Great leek for overwintering, took the freeze here way better than any other leek (2 other varieties just melted away on thawing), taste is sweet and a great onion substitute if necessary.
