Description
Crusado is a relatively new variety bred by Hazera Seeds, and by their own account one of their best-performing onion varieties. An F1 hybrid, it gives a good yield, has strong skin and improved disease resistance. It also has a superb root system that performs very well in dry conditions. Crusado produces yellow to brown round-shaped onions with a thin neck. What's more, they can be stored for several months with no loss of quality. The sets should be planted in spring: no earlier than the second week of February.
