Description
Tarragon is a perennial herb plant that produces glossy green leaves. During the summer it produces small yellow flowers. This herb plant has been grown in our nursery and is well established.
It can grow to a height of 90cm. It spreads from the roots and is best used as a container herb on windowsills or planters. It is fine with poorer soil and can tolerate mild droughts but still needs full sun.
Used in cooking, primarily in French cuisine. Tarragon adds flavour to chicken, fish and egg dishes. It is also used in stews and in pickling. French Tarragon has a much stronger flavour to Russian Tarragon and is the best choice if growing for culinary purposes.
This plant comes in a P9 pot and is ready to plant out. P9 pots are 9cm in diameter and are commonly used by professional horticulturists.
It can also be purchased as part of our 'choose your own' herb products at a reduced price (see recommended products below).
