Description
This parrot variety tulip produces oversized crimson red ruffled feather like flowers. Winner of RHS Award of Garden Merit award. Ideal as cut flowers in displays or in borders/flower beds. Petals continue to change colour and shape in vase, opening in the sun and slightly closing again at night. They will also continue to grow if harvested when buds are coloured but not fully open.
Planting instructions:
- Plant before frost sets in (Oct-Nov).
- Space 10cm apart and plant at a depth of 15cm.
- For best colouring these need full sun in well drained fertile soil.
- Avoid overwatering and only water if conditions are very dry.
