Forms a narrow clump of upright foliage with straight, needle like flower stems up to 50cm tall. Foliage fades from green to golden brown in late summer with flower spikes turning from purple to brown/black as they age. A beautiful plant that provides a delicate backdrop to perovskia, sedum or achillea.
