Description
Astrantia has a long flowering season from June to September, it's dainty flower heads are wildlife friendly and particularly attractive to hoverflies and bumblebees.
The pins in a cushion flowers of the astrantia are surrounded by a papery coloured bract; this pretty pink flower is borne on stems above the maple leaved foliage. Flowers are long lasting. A natural looking perennial that is favoured by Piet Oudolf.
