Description
Domestic water timers suffer from a common problem where the valve eventually leaks into the control box and ruins the timer. We have had so many issues with market leader domestic brands that we now only stock the professional units we use ourselves.
The Baccara irrigation controllers are expensive compared to their domestic cousins but they are a pro quality unit designed to give many years of trouble free use. Apart from the professional build quality the big difference with these controllers is the pump control unit is separate from the valve unit. The control box can be mounted on the valve, to the pipework above or below it or on to wall but crucially no water runs through the control box. Of course this means a leaking valve can never damage the control box.
It is also worth pointing out that the valve and solenoid are also professional quality units so a much more robust setup than a domestic version.
The unit uses a 9 volt battery with a temporary backup power supply if the battery runs low. The unit only needs to attached to your irrigation system and does not need a mains power supply.
The Baccara timer has three different irrigation modes allowing up to 3 timed watering sessions per day. The operating modes are as follows:
P1 - Watering once every day at a set time.
P2 - Watering once on selected days (e.g. one watering session on Mon, Weds and Fri).
P3 - Watering 3 times a day on selected days (e.g. three watering sessions on Mon, Weds and Fri).
For all three modes you choose the start and end time of the watering cycle.
